If You Want To Learn Guitar 400% Faster, Then Read This.

Andy Partridge, Guitar Coach Magazine

We all know that learning to play guitar is hard, particularly by yourself. It's often frustrating, time-consuming and progress can be very slow.

I remember in my early days playing guitar I was pretty bad.

My fingers felt awkward. I only knew a few chords. My strumming was terrible. And my timing was all over the place!

I gave up countless times along the way until...

This transformed my playing forever.

I started jamming with a friend.

To be honest we were both pretty awful. But the experience was almost magical.

Now don’t get me wrong, it didn't make me a great guitarist overnight (I wish!).

But, it did give me greater feeling of confidence, rhythm, timing and feel... almost instantly.

Now, I know the idea of improving by playing with others isn't exactly revolutionary, but it works so much better than you could ever believe!

I think it was guitar legend Johnny Marr who once said:

"You'll learn more in 3 weeks playing with others, than you will in 3 months by yourself"

So, if you take Johnny's word for it, you can learn 4x faster when you play with others!

But you could ask any pro guitarist and they'd say the same.

But I know that's not easy!

We all know that getting to play with others is often not easy with our busy lives, time commitments, availability, geography etc.

Plus, there’s always that fear that we’re just not good enough yet and we’ll embarrass ourselves.

I definitely get that.

Which is why I created BandJammer.

BandJammer brings the excitement and experience of jamming with a band, right into your own home.

It’s easy, fun and great for all player levels.

Have you thought how great it must be to play in a band, but don’t feel you’re good enough?

Do you sometimes find playing in front of family and friends a challenge?

(I used to fumble my chord changes, my strumming would be erratic and my timing almost non-existent!)

If so, then BandJammer is for you.

BandJammer is very different to anything you’ve tried before, because of they way it’s designed and structured.

It's back to front learning!

Basically I created BandJammer slightly back to front.

My starting point was to do live recordings of my band playing some of our favourite songs.

Then I worked backwards, deconstructing everything from the sound, to the structure, the feel, the chord positions, strumming patterns, the guitar parts etc

… absolutely everything.

By breaking everything down into the smallest pieces, I knew I could teach it so that anyone could follow along step by step... as we put it all back together again.

The beauty of this is that once you’ve learnt even the smallest section of the song, you’ll immediately be able to put it into practice with a full band...

...even if that's just joining in on a chorus, or playing a riff or solo.

This means you can have fun and get a great sense of achievement almost immediately.

And you can choose if you want to play Lead guitar or Rhythm guitar – and if you want to learn part of a song or the whole thing.

You can choose to play as an additional guitarist in our band, or you can even take my place in the line-up.

This is an amazing way to quickly build your confidence, feel, rhythm and timing.

Fun for all player levels...

From Beginner to Intermediate level guitarists, BandJammer brings the excitement and experience of jamming with a band right into your own home.

Once you start to practice and play with the other members of the band you'll feel your confidence skyrocket almost immediately and you'll see real improvements in your rhythm and timing skills almost without noticing it.

Experience your first Jam Session right now!

Take a look at the BandJammer Song Library below.

These songs were recorded live and Andy will teach you exactly what each guitarist was playing, so you'll seamlessly fit into the band.

Riffs, licks, fills, solos, strumming patterns and more

Andy teaches you in detail, every section of each of the songs; step by step and note by note.

Plus there's slow practice sessions at every stage so you can piece the song together at your own pace.

There's separate videos for both Lead guitar and Rhythm guitar so its easy to follow, plus there's downloads for Song Structures, Chord Charts and Tab.

Once you've learnt a section of a song you practice along with the Drums and Bass sessions to help nail your rhythm and timing.

Then when you're ready, you can take your place in the band for a full Jam Session!

You simply HAVE to try this for yourself!

BandJammer gives you 31 complete songs to choose from with over 1,200 videos and 60 hours of video tuition.

A great song to get started with and just have some fun!

America: Razorlight

A beautiful song with a slightly more challenging part for Lead Guitar, requiring some accurate string picking.

For Rhythm Guitar it's a much easier song, playing mainly open chords, but great for practicing rhythm and

timing.

Back In The USSR: The Beatles

A powerful up-tempo classic from The Beatles. Plenty going on for both Rhythm and Lead Guitar.

There's a great energy to this song - a real crowd-pleaser so you're sure to have some fun with this.

Bubbles: Biffy Clyro

Not too challenging and there's a great build up to the chorus and a nice Lead Solo.

Come Up And See Me: Cockney Rebel

The opening Riff, played by both Rhythm and Lead guitar is wonderfully melodic and the song then has a real upbeat feel.

Sounds great on both acoustic and electric guitar.

Look out for the Lead Solo at 1min 48secs in the video. This is challenging, but so very rewarding.

Creep: Radiohead

This is such a great opener and the song builds nicely leading up to the Rhythm guitar kicking in.

Whilst the Lead Guitar is doing most of the heavy lifting in this song, it's great practice for Rhythm in terms of timing and creating a BIG sound.

There's also real range of skills required, particularly String Picking.

Don't Believe A Word: Thin Lizzy

Twin harmony guitars all the way with this classic from Thin Lizzy.

Great for refining your rhythm and timing, whether you're playing Lead or Rhythm.

The Rhythm guitar takes the lead in this classic song from Oasis, whilst the Lead Guitar provides the fills, riffs and solos.

It's a great sing-along number and works well with Acoustic guitar on Rhythm too.

Fortune Faded: Red Hot Chilli Peppers

This offers a great opportunity for the Rhythm Guitar to take centre stage, playing the central Riff throughout the song.

This leaves space for the Lead guitar to provide the energy and drive.

I Fought The Law: The Clash

There's something for everyone is this classic song from The Clash.

It's a great sing-along number with plenty of energy and pace.

For Rhythm guitar there plenty of strumming plus a harmony guitar part and for Lead there's plenty of licks and a solo.

Like A Rolling Stone: Bob Dylan

This is our version of the Bob Dylan Classic with both guitars playing the same chords but on different parts of the neck.

Plenty of chords and chord changes with Rhythm playing mostly open chords.

For Lead Guitar there's some great riffs and an improvised solo for Lead guitar (at 5min 20secs in video)

Long Road To Ruin: Foo Fighters

We crank up the tempo with this great song by the Foo Fighters.

Once again it's the Rhythm guitar providing the opening and underlying drive.

For Lead Guitar there's a truly awesome solo - definitely a challenge (see 2min 20sec in the video).

A great song to start with for Rhythm Guitarists with simple chords and strumming pattern.

For Lead Guitar there's plenty of fun to be had recreating the melodies and fills throughout the song.

There's nothing too challenging for either Rhythm or Lead guitars, but a great opportunity to practice maintaining your rhythm and timing.

Paranoid: Black Sabbath

Let's Rock! A great high energy classic from Black Sabbath.

The simple structure of this song gives you the space to experiment a little and add in your own embellishments.

Andy's got plenty of additions to show you that making playing this great fun.

Pinball Wizzard: The Who

Another real classic with such a distinctive opening.

Great rhythm and strumming practice for both Lead and Rhythm guitars.

Again both guitars playing the same chords, but sometimes in different positions, so you can bring greater variety into your playing.

Purple Haze: Jimmy Hendrix

This is definitely one for the Lead Guitarists and the opportunity to show off some great skills with a range of riffs, licks and a solo.

On the Rhythm side it's all fairly simple, so a great song to get started with and have some fun.

Refugee: Tom Petty

This song offers more distinctive parts and roles for both Rhythm and Lead Guitar.

The Rhythm guitar carries the song along whilst the Lead guitar punctuates this will a range of riffs and a solo.

This is not only a great song, but a great one for those starting out on Lead Guitar

Revolution: The Beatles

Great piece of Rock 'n Roll from The Beatles.

In true Beatles fashion it's never quite as easy as it first looks... but it does sound great.

Make sure you add this one to your set list.

Roadhouse Blues: The Doors

What a classic - and great fun playing Lead Guitar with so many riffs, licks and solo - plus loads of scope for improvisation.

Andy will walk you through each Riff plus show you how to make it your own.

There's so much scope to really develop your own riffs with this one - and sound great!

Run: Snow Patrol

This is a great opportunity to slow the pace down and really get into the feel of the song.

We've got the Rhythm guitar playing some lead and Lead guitar playing some rhythm!

Plus a lovely melodic yet relatively simple solo to finish off with.

She Moves In Her Own Way: The Kooks

This is such a happy, bouncy song with a great rhythm which is lead by the Rhythm guitar.

This leaves the Lead guitar free to add some cool embellishments and riffs, together with lovely solo.

This is such a fun song to play but getting the strumming accents right does take a little practice.

Somebody Put Something In My Drink: The Ramones

Let's really crank it up with some Ramones.

Relatively straightforward song with the Lead guitar adding in some additional melodies within the rhythm which is a great skills to learn.

Everyone needs some Bowie in their life.

This is one of the first band sessions we ever recorded and we still love playing it today. It's such a classic, underpinned by some good old rock 'n roll riffs.

Great for Rhythm guitar, with Lead guitar providing some additional texture with a range of riffs and a solo.

Summer Of '69: Bryan Adams

Another all-time classic and a great one to sign along to.

This one needs some accurate fretting to get those chord changes nice and smooth, but otherwise not too difficult to play.

If you're playing Rhythm and looking to get into Lead this could be a good one for you with some simple riffs and solo.

Vertigo: U2

A real power anthem from U2, so you need to play with energy and purpose.

This requires some fast chord changing from both Rhythm and Lead Guitar, so make sure you're fully warmed up before tackling this one.

The Lead licks and solo are all relatively straightforward.

When September Ends: Green Day

More Green Day magic. This has a wonderful slow and melodic build up, leading to a really power anthem.

The Lead Guitar takes on the major role within the song until it really gets going when the Rhythm guitar really gives it power and purpose.

You Really Got Me: The Kinks

A 60's classic from The Kinks.

Here both Rhythm and Lead are playing the same chords in the same position, which gives you a little breathing space if you lose the timing.
